Indiana Adult & Teen Challenge

The Indiana State Office of Adult & Teen Challenge exists to function as a financial and resource body as well to provide a leadership role for the ministry.  It operates four centers in Indiana.  These include Adult & Teen Challenge Northern Indiana, Central Indiana Teen Challenge, Grace House, and Wabash Valley. 

Our History

Teen Challenge is one of the oldest, largest and most successful programs of its kind in the world.  Established in 1958 by David Wilkerson, his outreach to gangs in New York City led to the development of Teen Challenge.  

 

Adult & Teen Challenge USA national organization, while Teen Challenge began as a ministry to youth, it has expanded to also serve adult men, women, and adolescent youth who are struggling with life controlling addictions.  Today Adult & Teen Challenge USA is a network of over 250 recovery centers across the United States.  Teen Challenge Global operates at a truly global scope, with over 1200 centers operating in 118 nations. 


The state office of Indiana Adult & Teen Challenge (Lebanon, IN) was founded in 1965 as one of its affiliates.  Indiana Adult & Teen Challenge operates four centers and is a faith-based residential treatment facility that provides shelter and support for adult men, women, and adolescent girls to overcome addiction, alcoholism, and other life controlling issues and develop positive skills and behaviors for a complete recovery. Indiana Adult & Teen Challenge and its centers is a 501 ©3 nonprofit organization.   

Our State Director

Dave Rose begin his professional career as a pastor, ordained in the Assembly of God organization and has served in this position for over twenty-five years across different churches in Indiana.


After learning about Indiana Adult & Teen Challenge and helping in the state office with accounting, Dave felt the call of God to resign his pastorate and take on the responsibility as the Director of Central Indiana Teen Challenge for Girls in 2003.  Later in 2006, Dave accepted the position as the State Director for Indiana Adult & Teen Challenge.


Passionate to help those in crisis, Dave believes and stands on Acts 20:24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me-the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. “It is the word of God and the work of God that changes people’s lives” says Dave.


Dave serves as the regional representative from the Great Lakes Region to the Adult & Teen Challenge USA national board of directors.  He also writes a weekly blog “Light-N-Side: Biblical thoughts on the Christin Life”.  Visit his blog at  https://lightnside.com/.


Married to his lovely wife Dawn, who has also been a major part of the Indiana Adult & Teen Challenge family, and is recently retired as the Executive Director of the Central Indiana Teen Challenge for adolescent girls.  They have two grown children, both married and one precious granddaughter.  Dave can be reached at daverose@indianatc.org.
